The ES&S iVotronic is the first touch screen voting device certified for use in Florida by the Florida Division of Elections. The unit itself weighs only 10 pounds and is approximately one foot square in size. It operates on AC, DC or battery power.

The iVotronic's proven patented touch screen technology is simple, portable, wireless, and easily adaptable to disabled voters. It can be placed on a tabletop or on the lap. It can be adjusted to wheelchair height and it can be taken curbside to the voter's car. The iVotronic has a backlit voting screen that is easier to read than ink on paper for visually impaired voters as well as an external key-set (with Braille embossing) coupled with an audio process that reads the ballot to the voter over a set of earphones.

On-screen ballots are graphically displayed in multiple colors, and the iVotronic can support other languages in addition to English. The iVotronic ensures voter intent and eliminates overvoting.

The iVotronic was designed with security in mind, and is capable of producing documentation to provide the required audit trails, and checks and balances.

Regardless of the sophistication of the iVotronic system, overseas and domestic absentee voters will still have to be accommodated through paper ballots.

The Community Awareness Program will be giving demonstrations of the iVotronic voting system and voter registration drives at numerous functions and events over the course of the year. If you have an organization that would like more information about this program contact:
